Boole aims to meet WCAG 2.1 level AA, the standard referenced by Ontario's accessibility legislation (AODA).
What we have done
- Every page works with the keyboard alone, and a "skip to main content" link comes first.
- Headings, landmarks and form labels are marked up so screen readers can navigate the page.
- Text and background colours meet the contrast ratios required by WCAG AA, in both light and dark mode.
- Text can be enlarged to 200% without losing content, and the layout adapts to small screens.
- Images that carry meaning have text alternatives; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Animation is disabled for anyone whose system asks for reduced motion.
- Nothing flashes, and nothing moves or refreshes on its own.
Known limits
Boole links to other websites. We cannot control whether those sites are accessible.
Tell us about a barrier
